Job Summary:

Dental Assistant position in UNMC Advance Education General Dentistry (AEGD), under general supervision, to assist House Officers and faculty in daily patient treatment and all related responsibilities and functions.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of six months post high school education/experience related to Dentistry.
• Certification as a dental assistant or ability to obtain a dental assistant certificate within one year of hire date
• Microsoft Excel,Microsoft Word

 

• Demonstrate professionalism
• Strong customer and interpersonal service skills
• Demonstrate organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work closely with others and a variety of personality types
• Must be dependable

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program
• Microsoft Outlook

 

• Certification to take radiographs.
• Certification for extended duties (e.g. coronal polishing)
