The Center Managerâ??s role is to lead the daily operation of the Marshall Wellness Center (MWC). The Center Manager is responsible for supervision of student employees and work areas throughout the MWC
â?¢ Dress professionally; follow departmental dress code (i.e., Staff shirt, nametag, and closed-toe shoes)
â?¢ Maintain current certifications: CPR/AED and Standard First Aid
â?¢ Enforce facility policies correctly and consistently; lead by example!
â?¢ Abide by all employee policies and procedures stated in the Student Employee Manual
â?¢ Follow emergency care procedures in the event of an injury or emergency situation
â?¢ Attend mandatory meetings, orientations, trainings, and staff development workshops
Facility Manager Responsibilities:
â?¢ Supervise all programs and services of the Marshall Wellness Center and manage all assigned projects
â?¢ Ensure that facility operations run smoothly and provide direction for all program and service areas
â?¢ Supervise all student employees in the facility and working in various program areas
â?¢ Provide excellent customer service by greeting patrons and guests with a friendly and helpful attitude
â?¢ Ensures the appropriate execution of the Emergency Evacuation Plan and Risk Management Procedures by all staff members
â?¢ Mediate conflict and any unexpected issues that may come up during shifts
â?¢ Ensure that all departmental documentation is complete and accurate (i.e., accident and injury report, feedback forms, and facility count forms)
â?¢ Open and close the facility as well as ensure the proper placement of student staff members during shift times
â?¢ Be knowledgeable of Marshall Wellness Center programs and services in order to assist members
â?¢ Utilize staff contact lists and departmental software to find coverage and subs for shifts
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, use a phone. Occasional lifting of 10 lbs., reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, and ability to work with minimal supervision, and a high degree of problem solving and high level of inter-personal skills is preferred.
