Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to join their growing team. As a Software Engineer you will play a key role in bringing our client’s product vision to life. You will optimize the user experience and technical functionality of our platform while collaborating with both internal teams and external engineering partners. Your experience in technology, insurance services, and e-commerce platforms will be vital in driving success for our growing venture. In this role, you’ll bridge the gap between business objectives and technical implementation, developing scalable, user-friendly solutions that enhance our clients’ experience and strengthen operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the product vision through high-quality software development and system design
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain platform functionality to deliver a seamless user experience
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define and prioritize features
  • Coordinate and provide technical leadership to internal and external engineering teams
  • Ensure scalability, security, and performance of applications and infrastructure
  • Apply knowledge of insurance services and e-commerce to build customer-focused digital experiences
  • Contribute to best practices in coding standards, testing, and deployment automation
  • Translate operational requirements into effective and elegant technical solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the software industry required
  • Experience with systems languages (e.g., C#, Java, TypeScript, Go, Rust, C++, Ruby) and other commonly used technology stacks required
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL) required
  • Experience with modern code-first automated test practices (e.g., unit tests, API testing, penetration testing, load testing) required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills 
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Preferences

  • Experience designing and building a full-stack software solution
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience integrating with external APIs
  • Experience in software development in a general-purpose programming language
  • Experience with data structures or algorithms gathered from a data structures or algorithms class, course projects, research, individual projects, internships, or other practical experience inside or outside of school or work (including open-source hobby coding)
  • Experience with fast paced SaaS environment
